Its been a few a little while since the SMBs have been in the studio for a proper episode. We have a lot to catch up on. Jay had a loss in his family so our hearts go out to him for that. Many hugs given. No topic of the week this week as we had so much to discuss in what we watched and news there just isn't enough time. Dave and Jay went to the holloween themed beerfest Hoppy Halloween at Broken Goblet Brewery. We review our last pumpkin beers of the season (thank god). We discover one of our pumpkin beers is called Johnny Rails and we think that is the best porn name ever. We discuss the TV shows we a gushing over this fall. Jay finally finished Luke Cage and wasn't too impressed. We both started watching Black Mirror Season 3 on Netflix and are just in love with the show as a whole. We give some WestWorld predictions and discuss how the show is shaping up. Dave spoils the Walking Dead comic and Season 7 premiere. So if you haven't watched it...listen closely for spoiler warnings and skip 10 mins ahead. When it comes to news we discuss early reviews of Dr. Strange. We also get in deep to the Logan trailer. And we both admit we almost cried watching that trailer. We also get down with the Guardians of The Galaxy vol. 2 Teaser.

Jay and Dave are LIVE again for their monthly movie at Broken Goblet Brewery (brokengoblet.com). This month we watch Beetlejuice with the bar and then have a little Beetlejuice trivia. We also discuss the film as it holds up today and how Tim Burton could never do a film like this again. We also discuss Burton's waning career. We talk about how great Keaton was in the role, but also how Beetlejuice was 600 year old pedophile. Speaking of pedophiles, we also talk about one of the cast members being a real life pedo. Beetlejuice became a phenomenon in the late 80's and spawned a cartoon and several proposed sequels. We talk about the worst of those proposed sequels and the lasting power of the film. Beetlejuice is def a fun classic and worth being called one.

Jay and Dave discuss the things they watched and enjoyed this week. Dave caught up on You're the Worst and Watched The Invitation on Netflix. Jay saw Girl on the Train and gives his impressions as well as discusses Ep 2 of WestWorld. Jay also is still trying to finish Luke Cage. In news we talk about Guy Richie directing a live action Aladdin movie and ponder what it would be like if Jason Statham played Aladdin. Jay really like the Power Rangers trailer and Dave did not. This week in continuing our pumpkin beer run through October we review Southern Tier Pumpking and Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. One is real good, the other is a more acquired taste. In the topic of the week Dave does a lot of talking about video game movies and whether AssAssin's Creed will be the first truly great one. Dave also discusses the possibility of Uncharted, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Gears of War, and Mass Effect films. Comic Book movies may be running their course...Might Hollywood be looking towards video games as the next inspirational gold mine for films.
